Payment and Financing

We recognize that while your dental health is important to you, affording the treatment you need may cause budget concerns even with dental insurance. We have developed a number of financial options to fit nearly any budget. If you have questions or would like to discuss which option might work best for you, please call our office at (319) 465-3533.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance has become incredibly complex, with plans and coverage varying drastically depending on your insurance provider and the choices your employer makes. In fact, many dental offices no longer accept any dental insurance plans, much less file your dental insurance claim for you. However, as a service to our patients, we verify your insurance and go the extra mile to file your claim.

We are in network with a number of dental benefits plans, however in and out of network status sometimes changes so we ask that you call your insurance provider to ensure our practice is currently in-network prior to your appointment.

We will file the dental claims on your behalf. Please bring a copy of your insurance card with you to your appointment. While we do ask that you make all payments for your dental care at the time of service, we will work hard to assist in obtaining the dental benefits due to you. While you may not know the exact steps (or simply do not have the time) to file your dental insurance claim, we do! We will submit your insurance claim with all necessary information at the time of your visit and will follow-up with your dental insurance company to see that they process your claim in a timely manner. At Monticello Family Dentistry we want you to feel as if you are a member of the family, and this is a simple courtesy that we extend to all of our valued patients!

Please feel free to contact our office with any questions regarding our policy or your benefits.

PLEASE NOTE: CO-PAYMENT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF SERVICE.

As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance company and track claims. Please keep us informed of any changes to your insurance plan. You are responsible for the fees charged by our office, no matter what your insurance coverage may be. Most insurance companies should respond to the claim within four to six weeks. Any remaining cost is your responsibility.

We are here to help! Please call for more information about financing your oral health needs in our office!

CareCredit

Our office also accepts financing through CareCredit. Unlike a regular credit card, CareCredit offers shorter term financing options of 6, 12, or 18 months with no interest on purchases of $200 or more when you make the minimum monthly payments and pay the full amount due by the end of the promotional period. If you do not, interest is charged from the original purchase date. You can use CareCredit for deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance and costs for procedures not covered by insurance. And, once you’ve applied, you can use it again and again.

CareCredit also extends longer term financing for 24, 36, 48 or 60-month periods with reduced APR and Fixed Monthly Payments Required Until Paid in Full. For complete details, including interest rates and terms, see the CareCredit account agreement within the credit applications. All offers are subject to credit approval. Terms and conditions are subject to change and the practice will provide all options that are current at the time of treatment.

The process to apply for CareCredit is quick and easy. Simply go to https://www.carecredit.com/go/544SCS/ or click on the CareCredit link below to complete the online application and you’ll receive an instant credit decision. Once approved, you will be able to immediately use the CareCredit credit card to pay for your dental care.

Cash, Checks and Credit Cards

We are happy to accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and CareCredit cards. In order to ensure we can continue to provide the highest level of care for years to come, we do now ask that you make all payments for your dental care at the time of service. Again, we understand that dental care can be costly in some cases and we highly recommend you continue reading or talk with our office about financing options and what works best for you.
